About the Instructor
George Sawaya, P.E.
George Sawaya is a Florida Professional Engineer with more than 28 years of experience in the Construction Engineering & Inspection industry.
After hitting the ground running as a UCF Engineering Graduate, George’s career has brought him to serve the public sector in nearly every aspect of Construction as a CEI Construction Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer, QC Manager, Office Engineer, and even in the field as Senior Inspector. George works harmoniously with numerous municipalities around Florida including Seminole County, Orange County, Flagler County, Duval County and City of Orlando; in addition to the Florida Department of Transportation in District 5, District 2, District 7, Turnpike Enterprise, and on Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) construction projects.
George’s recent achievements include a state of the art, 44,000 square foot Traffic Management Facility Building in Central Florida that will serve as Emergency Operations Hub for both FDOT and FHP. He is recognized as an FDOT approved Instructor for: Final Estimates I and Final Estimates II. George Sawaya, PE possesses a proven knowledge in roadway construction, infrastructure improvements, utility construction and architectural building construction, both in the private and public sectors.
